Even as the market share dropped a bit, with almost 200,000 Dacia Logan sold last year, of which 88,000 exported, Dacia managed the best commercial result in its history. Compared with 2005, the Dacia Logan sales grew by 19,6%. On the romanian market, Dacia sold 107.777 vehicles, out of which 96.044 Dacia Logan and 11.733 Pick Up. The performance of the Pitesti constructor was possible due to the launch of the new Dacia Logan collection in september, and to the introduction of the fourth engine (the 1.6L 16 valve gasoline) and especially to the launch of the Dacia Logan MCV.
The success of the Dacia Logan MCV was seen immediately, in just two months after launch almost 3600 being sold on a market especially interested in sedans. On the foreign markets, Dacia Logan registered in 2006 sales of 88.931 units, 74% more then in the previous year. Western Europe is the main export destination for the Dacia Logan, with 40% of the cars exported. As for the export of CKD collections, 2006 marked the beginning of deliveries to Iran and India, where the building of Dacia Logan models will begin this year.
