Over 4000 Dacia Logan were sold in January in Europe, 5% more then in the first month of 2006. 4049 Dacia Logan were registered in 26 european countries in January 2007, 4.6% more then in January 2006 when there were 3871 sold. France was the most important export market for the Dacia Logan with 1798 cars sold.
Statistics take into account registrations from 26 european states: 23 from the European Union, without Romania, Bulgaria, Ciprus and Malta, plus Iceland, Norway and Switzerland. The ACEA numbers are based on registered Dacia Logan cars, but largely these are the same as the sold cars. The sales of the Renault brand are down 8% in the states included in the statistics, from almost 107.000 sold in 2006 to 98.000 last month. Dacia Logan currently has 0.3% of the market in these 26 european countries, where the total number of sales was 1.28 million units.
In other news, Renault asked for help from the romanian state for the projection and design center that will be built in Romania. This project means investments worth around 450 million euro and could mean a lot for the Dacia Logan in Romania and for new projects involving Dacia Automobile.
