The biggest auto manufacturer from Romania, Automobile Dacia Pitesti, has doubled in the first 11 months the sales in the european markets, reaching a number of 38.400 Dacia Logan sold.
Constantin Stroe has told the “Adevarul” newspaper that by the end of 2007 the production capacity for the Dacia Logan will reach 350.000 cars/year, while now they have a capacity of just 235.000 Dacia Logan per year.
“So far we invested 78 million euro in the production line and we plan to invest 100 million euro in 2007.”, Stroe explained. Out of the total 350,000 future production capacity, only 120,000 Dacia Logan will be for Romania. The rest of the Dacia Logan cars will be exported. Right now the Dacia Logan is exported in 49 countries. The Dacia Logan project is no longer a dream, its reality. By 2010 Renault plans to make 1 million Dacia Logan every year in multiple Renault factories. In Romania, besides the one third of the cars that will be made here, it will also make Dacia Logan parts for all the other factories.
