Dacia will launch in 2008, in Romania, two new models. The first is the Dacia Logan Pick-Up, and the second is a derivate of the Sandero model. Sandero, presented in September at the Frankfurt Auto Show, will be the first model that Renault launches first outside of Europe.
Sandero is a small class model, with a length of only 4,02 meters and 320 liters space in the trunk. By comparison, the Dacia Logan is 4,25 meters in length and the Dacia Logan MCV is 4,45 meters long.
The 5 door car, derived of the B0 Dacia Logan platform, the new Sandero will be produced in the brazilian city of Curitiba, being sold in Brazil starting from December, and then in Argentina.
About the Dacia Logan, the manufacturer announced that it will be produced in Romania starting from 2008, having similar stats as the other Dacia Logan models.
Charles Morillo announced that Dacia is currently producing 1050 cars/day (60-63/hour), a normal value for a large Renault factory. Recently Dacia produced the number 3,000,000 vehicle, a Dacia Logan, and starting from 2008, 350,000 Dacia Logan’s will be produced every year.
