Dacia’s revenue in 2008 was 7.663 billion RON (2.073 billion Euro), which is 10% higher than it was in 2007. The profit was 213 million RON (60 million Euro), after taxes. The 2008 production at Dacia saw a total of 242,415 Logan and Sandero models being built, an increase of 8.8% over the previous year.
Almost two thirds of that were made for export. Here is the break down of the Dacia cars sales in 2008:
- Dacia Logan MCV – 88,957 cars sold
- Dacia Logan – 83,371 cars sold
- Dacia Sandero – 56,143 cars sold
- Dacia Logan Van – 7,541 cars sold
- Dacia Logan Pick-Up – 6,403 cars sold
Dacia’s plans for 2009 include a series of new products, including ecological versions for the Logan and Sandero models.
A large part of the profits will be used to continue investments and to prepare the sixth model that will be launched by Dacia.
