Dacia to stop production of Cars
Yes you heard it right “Dacia will stop the production of Cars”, but only for 28 days. The company is going through a technical overhaul and will stop production of cars for from 3rd of August to the 30th of August. The entire production team of 14,000 people will go on a vacation for these 28 days. The only departments that will be working will be the sales, repairs and the maintenance department. According to company officials this is an annual exercise carried out by the company. During this period the company inspects the machines and carries out the required repairs. The company is not likely to face any supply shortage as the company has sufficient number of vehicles to meet the domestic and the export demand. All the 14,000 factory workers will be paid salaries even though they are not working during this period. Apart from salaries employees will also receive vacation bonus to meet their vacation expenses.
Dacia the best Romanian Car
If July figures are anything to go by then Dacia is one of the best cars in Romania. Dacia was the highest selling car in Romania in the month of July 2009. Nearly 4,100 new Dacia cars were sold in Romania in the month of July. Apart from the 4,100 odd new cars which were registered, 6681 old cars were re-registered. Sixteen cars were purchased from aboard and registered in Romania.
Some luxury cars which were registered in the month of July include Ferraris, Mercedes, Maserati, Porsche, Jaguars, Cadillac, BMW, Audi, Doges and the Lexus.
