The Renault Group asked the Romanian government for 170 million Euro worth of help for Dacia, the Titu Technical Center and the Dacia and Nissan Romania providers. The announcement was made the Francois Fourmont, the general director of Dacia.
Out of the 170 million, 28 million Euros are for the Titu Technical Center and 40 million for implementing an investment program worth 200 million Euro. Also, the Group asked for guarantees from the Romanian government, worth 100 million Euro, for a loan from the European Investment Bank, which will also go to Titu.
He also mentioned that Renault received a help of a total 75-78 million euro, while investing in Romania over 1.5 billion Euro.
The total investment in the Titu Technical Center is estimated to be 450 million Euro and it will be the place where vehicle and component testing will be done, for those designed by the Renault Group design bureaus.
