Renault is planning to set-up a factory in suburbs of Algiers, which will have a capacity of making 50,000 vehicles in a year. Renault plans to sell the entire production of Dacia Logan and Dacia Sandero locally. Renault is likely to invest millions of Euros to set-up a factory in Algeria. The setting up of factory could take time as approval from National Committee on Investments is still pending. Renault has roped in a local partner National Society of Commercial Vehicles or SNVI. The local partner will hold a majority stake of 51 per cent. The balance of 49 per will be owned by the shareholders of Renault. SNVI is likely to provide the site where the factory is to be set-up.
