Its being built in the iranian capital by Iran Khodro and SAIPA, with a total production capacity of 300,000 cars per year. Right now, around 60% of the components will be produced in Iran, and this will reach 80% in the future. The investments made by Renault in local supliers was 300 million euro worth, with engines being produced in Iran starting from the end of 2007 while the gearboxes will be made in Iran starting from 2008.
