Skoda is planning to launch a new of model of budget car in Australia and Europe. The company is likely to challenge the supremacy which Dacia Logan has in the European market. However, many people are sceptical about the success of the car as rising production cost could push up the prices of the car. The company plans to launch the car by the year 2012. According to Mr. Reinhard Jung, the CEO of Skoda the price of the car is expected to be between 10,000 to 12,000 Euros. If the German press is to be believed the car is likely to be positioned between its popular models the Octavia and the Fabia. However, this model is likely to be more expensive than the Logan as the price for the base model is only 7,300 Euros. The company is expected to bring about changes in its production capabilities to meet the increase in demand for its low priced cars.
